Critical to the success of any city is a clear understanding of the multiple stages of the lifecycle of its businesses, their interactions with the city government, and their success rates. Such understanding enables the city government to attract, foster, and support businesses that serve citizen needs, thus strengthening the city’s economy and quality of life.
